Join Devon & Somerset Gliding Club on 19th June, for an amazing opportunity to take to the skies whilst supporting two important charities.
A donation from all flights will be made to Hospiscare and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Winch Launch £45 – A winch will tow you and your instructor to around 1000 feet above the airfield, for you to then soar gently back to earth for up to 10 minutes. The winch launch is the most exciting way to get into the sky!
Aerotow Launch £75 – A Eurofox tug aircraft will tow you and your instructor into the sky above Devon. This will generally be a longer flight of up to 20 minutes, and a more gentle way to get into the air!
How will the day work?
Weather permitting, flying starts from 9am. The day is split into one hour long slots. Whilst you won’t be guaranteed to fly at a specific time, providing you arrive for your introductory briefing half an hour before your chosen time slot, all efforts will be made to ensure you fly in a reasonable sequence (i.e. with the friends/family you booked with, where possible). Expect to be at the club for a minimum of 90 minutes.
You are very welcome to stay longer at the clubhouse after you have flown. The cafe will be open all day!
