A garden to encourage and provide for all pollinators. Honeybees, bumblebees, solitary bees and butterflies visit in abundance. Exuberantly planted with a mixture of shrubs, annuals and perennials, roses and herbs. Long borders and beds, some colour themed, others planted in mixed cottage garden style, roses on rope swags and trellises. In addition there is a great variety of fruit growing: apple, pear and plum orchards, and peaches and apricots growing against the barn walls. There is a wildflower meadow of around 20 acres with paths mown through it and a glimpse of the honeybees in their enclosure at the centre. There will also be home-grown plants available for purchase.
Plenty of seats and sitting out areas. For more information and other opening times please see website www.blackburyfarm.co.uk or ring 01404 871600
