It all started with a conversation. Ellie Melmoth, our Partnerships Manager, sat down with the teams at Raceworld and Hilton Ames Ltd for a chat about supporting Hospiscare and from there, the Devon Business League was born.
At first, it seemed like a good opportunity to spread awareness in our business community and we were hopeful that the Devon Business League would raise a few thousand pounds. But this was a league to rule them all – a business karting community like no other.
30 incredible businesses took part in 2024 and raised a staggering £101,763 for our patients and their families.
Ellie says, “The Devon Business League is a true example of the power of collaboration. These 30 businesses have shown that when a community comes together, the impact on the community they serve is immeasurable.”
During the league, the businesses competed to win one of seven coveted cups. Rev Comps truly set the bar high by not only winning the Champion Cup, but also swooping the Top Fundraiser Cup with the support of their Rev Head community, raising an incredible £67,000.
