General
- If for any reason you are unable to take part in the event, you will inform the Hospiscare Events team as soon as possible. You agree you will forward any sponsorship monies already raised to Hospiscare.
- Hospiscare aims to support all charity place participants in achieving their fundraising targets. If you are concerned about meeting your target, please contact us as early as possible so we can offer guidance and assistance. If, two weeks prior to the event, you have not raised at least 80% of the minimum fundraising target, or if other fundraising commitments remain unmet, Hospiscare reserves the right to review and, if necessary, withdraw your Firewalk space at its discretion.
- You understand that Hospiscare may need to share personal information such as your name and email address where necessary, with other third parties involved in the administration of the event. We will never sell or swap your data, but we may have to share your details with third party suppliers acting on our behalf. - You consent to Hospiscare using any images (photography / video filming) taken at the Firewalk event in (but not limited to) print, online, social media and funding applications.
- By sharing images and social media content with Hospiscare, i.e. by tagging Hospiscare or using the event hashtag, participants understand that Hospiscare may share or repost this content.
- Please remember that while taking part in this event, you are representing Hospiscare and should not do anything to damage the reputation of the charity
- I understand that I am expected to raise or donate the minimum sponsorship amount in addition to my entry fee.
- I understand that I cannot use any of the sponsorship money I raise for Hospiscare to pay for any expenses
- All sponsorship money must be sent directly to Hospiscare within three months of the event.
- I understand that my registration fee is not refundable.
- I understand that I should be of reasonable health and fitness to undertake this challenge.
- I acknowledge that Hospiscare does not accept responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to me or my property incurred during participation of the event.
- I understand that I must not be under the influence of alcohol while taking part in the event.
- I understand that I must not be under the influence of recreational drugs while taking part in the event (or any substance that impairs judgement and decision making)
- I will follow the safety advice given on the day.
- I understand that if I do not attend the Mind Over Matter Masterclass (instructional seminar provided on the day) then I will not be able to take part.
- Hospiscare reserves the right to cancel the event at short notice should this be deemed necessary. In such case a full refund of your registration fee would be offered.
- Please remember that while taking part in this event, you are representing Hospiscare and should not do anything to damage the reputation of the charity.
Fundraising
I will:
- Only conduct my fundraising in lawful ways
- Make it clear to those who want to support my fundraising efforts that I am raising money for Hospiscare, and that donations will be used to help fund their work
- Ensure Hospiscare’s name, logo and charity number are visible when I am fundraising
- Use the official fundraising materials given to me by Hospiscare – for example, sponsorship forms or posters
- Pay all sponsorship money collected to Hospiscare (charity no. 297798)
- Seek approval from Hospiscare if I wish to use their ‘in aid of’ logo for an event or fundraising activity
- I will seek approval from Hospiscare if I intend to approach my local press, any businesses or any celebrities to garner support for my fundraising
- Ensure that any raffle I hold to raise funds for Hospiscare is conducted legally and in accordance with the Gambling Commission’s rules and regulations
I will not:
- Do anything or behave in a way that could bring Hospiscare into disrepute
- Conduct door to door fundraising or a street collection without obtaining permission from the relevant authorities. I understand that any public collections, including street collections, in aid of Hospiscare require the appropriate licence or permit from the local authority. It is my responsibility to obtain this licence or permit in advance of my collection. Hospiscare cannot be held liable for any failure to secure the necessary permissions.
- Conduct fundraising on private property without obtaining permission from the owner of the property. I understand it is my responsibility to obtain permission and Hospiscare cannot be held liable for any failure to secure the necessary permission.
- Use Hospiscare’s logo to sell goods or services without obtaining permission from Hospiscare
