Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.
From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.
Firstly, we would love to say a big thank you to Rupert Ballantyne and the amazing community of Kentisbeare Parish for their amazing donation of £1,130. This was raised at a recent Frog Racing Night on 2 March 2024. As a local charity, we are reliant on donations and gifts in wills to fund our services – so we really couldn’t be more grateful!
The overall winner of the Frog Racing for 2024 was a man named Bruce Fernandez from Vermont, USA who was visiting relatives on vacation!
Next, we would like to show thanks to supporters, Austina Gillingham, Declan Gillingham, Tracy Sawyer, James and all of their friends and family for organising a Charity Quiz night in memory of Jonny and provided a donation to Hospiscare.
They raised an incredible £1,520.00 with £350 just from tickets alone and the rest was on the night from the generous community! We are so thankful!
Finally, Hospiscare Hero Freddie took on a skydive for Hospiscare on Saturday 30 March. He has raised £785 for Hospiscare, in memory of his grandma who was cared for by our services. If you would like to contribute his JustGiving page can be found here.
