Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.
From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.
Firstly, we would like to pay thanks for those who organised and took part in the Glow In The Dark Dodgeball Tournament 2024 held on 20 February! The event was organised by Exe Mortgages and held at LED Broadclyst Leisure Centre. 14 local business teams took part in 30 games across the 2 hour tournament.

There was lots of face paint, UV, fun and laughter had by all! Well done to AtkinsRéalis who were the winners on the night! Thank you to all the teams who took part in the event, you have managed to raise a whopping £1,550.00 which will help patients facing life-limiting illness and their families across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.
Next, we would like to thank some superstar sewers! ISCA Loose Ends are a local group of friends who really love sewing who meet on a regular basis to make handmade gifts. They attended a Christmas Fair at the Coaver Club at Christmas and raised £110 for Hospiscare. We really couldn’t be more grateful to ISCA Loose Ends for their amazing donation and the time, dedication and skill involved in making these gifts.
It is so wonderful to see people using their passions to help others. It means so much to us and really makes a difference!
Exe Valley Rotary have supported us for quite a considerable amount of time. Over the course of the last 2 years they have donated a truly incredible £2,161.07. Sharon, Area Fundraiser, attended their recent Monthly Dinner Meeting to provide a talk on Hospiscare and to thank them all in person for all their ongoing support and for their generous donations. As a local charity, we are reliant on donations and gifts in wills to fund our services. We really couldn’t be more grateful to the Exe Valley Rotarians for their amazing donation and ongoing dedication to our charity.
