Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.
From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.
On Sunday 8th October, brave local supporter James Lofthouse took the plunge and completed a skydive to raise funds for Hospiscare! James had initially hoped to complete his challenge last month. However, this had to be re-arranged due to poor weather. The extra time and added determination enabled James to increase his fundraising target to an impressive £2,000!

We would like to thank James for taking on a challenge for Hospiscare and for all his incredible fundraising efforts. The funds raised will make a real difference to local patients and their families across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. Thank you to all the staff at Ottery St Mary Dental Practice who held a bake sale in aid of Hospiscare last month. This fundraising effort raised a fantastic £300 for our charity. Contributions such as these make such a difference and enable us to provide specialist end of life services locally. We are so grateful to the team for organising, baking and holding the sale and to the customers who stopped by to support and buy some delicious treats!
Finally, we would like to say thank you to our own Area Fundraisers who have been out visiting schools across the heart of Devon, introducing children, teachers and families to our brand-new event, The Reindeer Run!
This fabulous new event is an opportunity to enable a new generation of Hospiscare Heroes! By taking part in this challenge, you will not only enjoy a fun-filled day of physical activity but also help to provide essential care and support to local people facing life-limiting illnesses.
