Hospiscare is looking for a team of volunteer gardeners based in Honiton. This is an opportunity to volunteer with a well-loved and respected local charity.
Patients and their families find great solace in our gardens and we need skilled volunteers to keep them looking at their best.
Volunteer gardeners maintain the landscaping including weeding, planting, watering plants, applying fertiliser, removal of garden waste and other light duties.

Kings House, Honiton
Activities of the role
These are the regular duties and responsibilities of the role:
- To maintain the grounds in line with the requirements of Hospiscare’s needs
- To ensure the grounds are tidy, well maintained and safe for staff, volunteers, patients and visitors.
- To respond to requests from the Maintenance Supervisor
- To remove any waste and put in the correct waste facility for collection or composting
- To maintain equipment and to keep the garden shed in good order and to report any issues to the Maintenance Supervisor
