Registration opens for Men’s Walk 2024!

Men’s Walk is back for its 13th year – join us for a walk, pint, pasty and rugby!

Our much-loved Men’s Walk returns to Double Locks on Saturday 9 March 2024 for its 13th year and participants who sign up before midnight on Wednesday 1 January 2024 are in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to watch the Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park!

Every year, Men’s Walk sees our dedicated supporters come together to raise funds for local people living with terminal illness. Get together with friends, family, colleagues, walk it solo or bring your four-legged friend along to support your local hospice.

All the event favourites are back for 2024, including: a 7-mile walk, Exeter Brewery pint, Chunk of Devon pasty and England rugby on the big screen – promising a great day out.

If you can’t make it to Double Locks on the day, you can also take part from afar with ‘Men’s Walk: Your Way’, choosing your own location, route and distance. Of course, we will deliver your pint and pasty beforehand, so you don’t miss out!

We are grateful to Exeter-based estate agents Wilkinson Grant & Co for sponsoring the event for the eleventh year running. Managing Director, Roger Wilkinson, said: “Last year’s Men’s Walk marked a significant milestone, being the most remarkable to date. We have every confidence that 2024 will surpass even this impressive benchmark. The Wilkinson Grant team eagerly anticipates this wonderful annual event, which is now firmly established on the wider Exeter Community calendar and we are thrilled to announce our continued support”.

Martin Stokke, Senior Events Fundraiser at Hospiscare, says “Men’s Walk 2023 saw approximately 1,400 participants from Devon and beyond raise over £120,000 for our local charity. With Hospiscare’s operational costs surging by 13% in just one year, replicating this success is crucial, as these increased costs pose a serious challenge to our vital services. Now, more than ever, we urge our communities to rally together and continue their steadfast support of Hospiscare and Men’s Walk. Absolutely everyone is welcome, so please sign up and help Hospiscare stand by people living with terminal illnesses and their families when it’s needed most.”

Let’s make Men’s Walk 2024 our best yet – sign up today and make a difference to local end-of-life care.
