Hospiscare opens new charity shops
In July, Hospiscare opened our newest charity shop in Sidmouth’s historic Market Place. As well as offering quality pre-loved clothing and a range of fashions from high street brands, the store also features an extensive selection of music, films, books and games.
Shop Manager, Nadine West, says, “I’m so excited to be part of the team at Hospiscare’s new Sidmouth shop, and we look forward to welcoming customers to the shop over the coming months.
“The store is bursting with an array of great quality items, all looking for their new home. We’re also looking for volunteers, so if you’ve got some time to spare and you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity in a busy and fun retail environment, please pop by and see us.”
Grace Baker, Hospiscare’s Retail Area Manager, adds, “As well as our new Sidmouth store, we’re also opening a new shop in Budleigh Salterton this autumn that will offer a wider range of stock for shoppers and a ‘donation station’ so we can receive and process local donations. We’re excited to welcome more shoppers through the door to help raise vital funds for our care.”
Could you volunteer in our shops?
We’re looking for volunteers to help our friendly shop teams for a few hours a week in Axminster, Budleigh Salterton, Exeter, Exmouth, Seaton, Okehampton, Sidmouth and Tiverton. If you could spare a few hours a week to volunteer in our shops and have a passion for helping others and a friendly attitude, we’d love to hear from you. Any time you can spare will help to provide vital care for local patients and families across the heart of Devon.

Donating your garden tools and pre-loved clothing
Do you have a garden shed that’s chock-a-bloc with tools, or a wardrobe full of clothes you no longer wear? If you’ve answered “yes” to either of these questions, then we would love to help you! We always need good quality, pre-loved clothing to sell in our shops to help fund our patient care, and our charity partners, Men in Sheds Exeter, can repair and upcycle donated garden tools to sell on our behalf. So, if you’re planning a clear out, please think of us. Clothing and accessorises can be donated to us in any Hospiscare shop, and garden tools can be taken to our shops on Trusham Road, Marsh Barton, Dowell Street in Honiton or Market Walk in Tiverton.
