Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work in a Hospiscare shop? We asked one of our newest sales advisors, Bex what she thought about working for Hospiscare.
What is your job and how long have you been working at Hospiscare?
I’m a full time sales advisor at the Hospiscare shop on Fore Street in Exeter. I’ve been working there for just over a month.
What’s it like working in a Hospiscare shop?
It’s fast paced with lots of varied jobs to complete throughout the day. Every day is different because you never know what sort of stock is going to be donated. We’re always coming across random bric-a-brac and interesting furniture.
What sort of tasks does your job include?
I get to help out with shop displays, serve at the till and help resolve customer queries. I also help keep the shop and workroom tidy, and sort through clothing and donations.
What is your favourite task?
I really enjoy working on the shop floor. It’s nice that our regular customers have got to know me and look forward to seeing me.
What do you like about working at Hospiscare?
Working for a charity gives me a real sense of achievement. It feels like I’m doing something worthwhile for a good cause. Hospiscare is a great company with a lot of benefits; they really care for their staff.
