Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their super powers this week.
Thank you to Mark Dowell, Trade Manager at Tesco in Honiton, for donating these tissues to our ward in Exeter.
A huge thank you to Adam Carnall and the amazing community in Feniton who supported his recent fundraiser for Hospiscare. Adam usually sows and grows extra plants to give to Hospiscare supporters for their plant sale in Honiton. Sadly, the plant sale could not take place this year due to the pandemic so Adam decided to set up a stand in his garden asking for donations in return for plants. Adam had a fantastic response and has raised £150 in just three weeks.
Thank you to Jamie and Josh and everyone who supported the amazing Cookiejam 2o20 in memory of Jamie Bruce. This first virtual Cookiejam has raised an amazing £1,900 to date.
Thank you to our lovely group in Chagford who have been running their own ‘Hospiscare Department Store’, offering somewhere for local people to safely buy some exciting and different things to support their local nurses. They are being helped by four-legged friends, Lottie and Scout, pictured above.
Thank you to Christine Thompson and Wendy Chaffey, both from Honiton, for making lovely fabric face masks in aid of Hospiscare.
Thank you to Bob and Lisa Murdoch who couldn’t do their usual Open Garden this year due to the pandemic and instead have been holding socially distanced tours for vulnerable friends and neighbours and have raised an incredible £250.
Finally, a huge thank you to Maureen and the Topsham Friends of Hospiscare who have raised over £5,000 for our patients with their fantastic plant stall in Topsham.
