Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.
From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.
First off, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made Hospiscare Men’s Walk 2023 such an incredible event, including every single participant, everyone who donated, and our hardworking volunteers on the day. As well as a special thanks to our long-standing event sponsor Wilkinson Grant & Co and event partners Exeter Brewery, Chunk of Devon and Double Locks for their steadfast support!
We want to say a very big thank you to everyone involved in the amazing Charity Curry Night at Higher Wiscombe, with the Rusty Pig and Designer Banquet. It was an absolutely fantastic evening raising money for Hospiscare. A very special thank you to all the local businesses and individuals who kindly donated a raffle prize on the night and for the online auction – a phenomenal £4,000 was raised, which is an outstanding amount!
We would also like to thank Jeff Abott, Marie Abbott and Jenny Deighton-Norman for donating Easter eggs for our patients and their families. Your kindness will make a difference to the patients staying on our ward this Easter and the families who are visiting.
We are sending a huge thank you to Raleigh Manor Care Home for their hospitality last week and for hosting our volunteering introduction to Hospiscare. We received an amazing amount of support from the community in Exmouth and Lympstone and feel very excited for the fundraising journey ahead!
We are sending thanks to Ramer Sponges of Honiton for supporting Hospiscare by donating their soft and gentle sponges for patients on our specialist ward. This will allow our patients to enjoy a relaxing bath with a touch of luxury – a beautiful gift for our patients. Your kindness and support mean so much!
