Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.
From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.
Thank you to everyone involved in the Charity Fashion Show held in West Hill on Thursday 23 May for Hospiscare. It was a great success with some incredible outfits expertly modelled. The show featured collections from the Spring into Summer Collection from Chapter Clothing, Sidmouth. The men were fitted out expertly by Sharif Tailoring, Exeter. The night was kindly sponsored by Hall & Scott Estate Agents.

A special thank you to Eileen, owner of Chapter Clothing who provided the attire for the night. We also must praise all the models who expertly showcased the outfits. The models included: long time supporter Steve Pearcey, Hospiscare’s own Martin and Sarah, and models from Chapter.
We must also show our gratitude for all the volunteers who helped set up the runway, the barmen who served the fizz, Mary and Christine for holding the raffle and Beth and the welcome team. Thank you to all those who bought tickets, attended and supported the event! So far you have raised £2181 and counting! Events like this are such a fun and exciting way to support a good cause!
Our next thank you goes to everyone who came to support the Ottertots fundraiser over the bank holiday weekend. You certainly didn’t let the weather dampen your spirits, and with your help, raised over £2,700 for Hospiscare. What an incredible amount to support our charity – you’re all amazing!

Next we must highlight the great efforts and skill involved in the Mail Trail 2024! Thank you to everyone who attended the launch of the Mail trail 2024 at the Strand in Exmouth on May 24. A special shout out to all the amazing crafters for their creativity and genius in making the toppers.
A special mention to all the local businesses who have sponsored individual toppers in and around Exmouth and of course to Bryony, Clare and Lynn for all their hard work and dedication in making this great community fundraiser happen! Finally, another group of crafters working their magic for Hospiscare are the lovely ladies of Lympstone quilt group who made a beautiful and detailed handmade quilt. The piece ‘Flower Festival’ was made within a month and will be donated for use on the ward.
