Hospiscare Heroes – From Open Gardens to plant sales

Our Hospiscare Heroes have been as busy as ever, finding innovative ways to fund raise for our charity at this difficult time

Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their super powers this week.

Thank you to the gardeners at Southwood Farm (pictured above), Prospect House and Little Ash Farm Bungalow for opening their gardens on the 3 and 4 July. Despite the wet weather on Sunday, they raised an absolutely amazing £2,584 for our patients.

Thank you also to our amazing gardeners in Plymtree at Penny Farthings (pictured above) and The Old Rectory. They battled the weather (and a broken arm the week before the gardens opened!) to raise an incredible £1,346 for our local charity.

Thank you to Paula, the Exeter Friends of Hospiscare and our good friends at Bicton College, Angela and Patrick, for making the second Hospiscare Virtual Plant Sale such a huge success. The event raised an incredible £2,272.50 and this year, they were able to offer a lovely spread of refreshments (pictured above).

Finally, thank you to our lovely Open Gardeners in Dunsford who opened two of their gardens last weekend and raised over £650 for Hospiscare.

We love hearing your stories about how your are fundraising for Hospiscare so please get in touch with us on Facebook or Twitter to share your photos and fundraising tales.
