Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their super powers this week.
We are sending a huge thank you to Countess Wear Village Hall for organising an amazing scarecrow trail in the community. People from all over the community took part, making their own scarecrows to add to the trail map and we have absolutely loved seeing the amazing photos on the Facebook page, like this one taken outside the Tally Ho Inn. We highly recommend taking a look!
Thanks to Countess Wear Village Hall and the community’s efforts, the scarecrow trail raised over £1,000 for Hospiscare! Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event, to all of those who made and displayed their scarecrows and to all of those who took part in the fun!
Thank you also to Tesco in Honiton who have kindly donated £100 to Hospiscare. Their customers were able to take a book from their book shelf in return for a donation to local causes. Thank you to all of the staff for organising this and to all the Honiton customers for their donations.
We are sending our thanks to Amy Furzer who held a raffle for us last month and raised £100! Amy runs a Facebook business called Body Shop @ Home and raffled a range of their lovely products to raise money for Hospiscare. If you would like to join Amy’s group and purchase any Body Shop items, click here.
Finally, thank you to Barratt & David Wilson Homes who chose us as their charity of the year and have donated a further £1,300 to our local charity.
We love hearing your stories about how your are fundraising for Hospiscare so please get in touch with us on Facebook or Twitter to share your photos and fundraising tales.
