At the end of June Maggie Draper, Hospiscare Assistant Director Supportive Care and Quality and Ann Rhys, Hospiscare Assistant Director of Care (Community) attended the Devon and Cornwall Outstanding Care Awards. Hospiscare had been nominated by an anonymous member of the public for outstanding work in providing excellent End of Life Care. Fellow nominees included: Rowcroft, St Luke’s Hospice, care agencies and the NHS Rapid Response Team.
Hospiscare were delighted to be announced the winners of the GOLD award in this category, which was sponsored by “Proud to Care”.
Tina Naldrett, Hospiscare Director of Care, conveyed her congratulations to the team and commented;
“It’s a testament to every single member of our volunteer and staffing team who support those in our care, and a celebration of our whole Hospiscare family. Our support services and staff in HR, Learning and Development, Finance, Estates, Catering, Cleaning, Marketing and Communications, Clinical Administration, Income Generation, our Trading Company and Board. Without everyone’s efforts we couldn’t be award winning and outstanding. Well done everyone.”
