Volunteer Shop Assistant – Sidwell Street, Exeter

This is an unpaid voluntary role

Come and volunteer for our well-loved and respected local charity in the role of Shop Volunteer.

Hospiscare is looking for Shop Volunteers based at the Hospiscare charity shop in Sidwell Street.

We are looking for new volunteers to add to our current team on the following;

  • Tuesday (2 hr shift, anytime 9am -5:30pm)
  • Wednesday morning (2 hr shift, anytime 9am -12:30pm)
  • Thursday morning (2 hr shift, anytime 9am -12:30pm)
  • Friday afternoon (2 hr shift, anytime 12.30pm -5:30pm)
  • Saturday afternoon (2 hr shift, anytime 12.30pm -5:30pm)
  • Sunday (2 hr shift, anytime 10am -4pm)

About the Shop Volunteer role:

  • As a shop volunteer, you will help to generate essential income to run our hospice services for local patients and their loved ones.
  • We’re looking for reliable people with friendly and welcoming personalities who want to give their time to support their local hospice charity shop.
  • We are particularly looking for volunteers who can help with sorting, pricing and preparing stock.

Typical activities:

  • Sorting and preparing donations
  • Pricing and replenishing stock
  • Serving shop customers
  • Supporting the shop manager with window displays
  • Promoting and selling Hospiscare’s lottery

What we’re looking for in our Shop Volunteers:

  • Reliability
  • A friendly and welcoming personality
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
