Men’s Walk 2025: Event Terms and Conditions

  1. You accept these Terms and Conditions on your own behalf and on behalf of all attendees included in this booking. You undertake to ensure that all attendees are aware of and comply with these Terms and Conditions
  2. Hospiscare cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, accident, loss, damage or public liability whilst taking part in the event
  3. You must be able to comfortably walk your planned distance (7 miles for the Men’s Walk: Double Locks event) and take full responsibility to determine your own physical fitness. Please consult with your GP if there are any concerns or previous health issues. It is your responsibility to ensure your health and fitness are adequate to take part in the event and therefore not the responsibility of Hospiscare
  4. The event is designed for adults but open to participants over 12 years of age, however children under 16 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult. Hospiscare do not take responsibility for the safety of walkers and you undertake the walk at your own risk
  5. You consent to Hospiscare using any images (photography / video filming) taken at any Men’s Walk event in (but not limited to) print, online, social media and funding applications
  6. By sharing images and social media content with Hospiscare, i.e. by tagging Hospiscare or using the event hashtag, participants understand that Hospiscare may share or repost this content
  7. Hospiscare has the right to alter the Event or to reschedule or cancel all or part of the Event
  8. For Men’s Walk: Your Way participants when planning your route, please follow these guidelines:
  • Plan / map a walk route that is safe and a sensible distance for you and appropriate to your fitness level
  • Plan to walk a route that is open to the public, safe, easily accessible and well-lit if light is poor
  • Ideally do not walk alone
  • Carry a mobile phone and torch in case of emergency
  • Only walk in appropriate weather (avoid rain and very sunny days) and wear appropriate clothing and footwear
  • Take a hydrating drink on your walk and avoid alcohol consumption

Men’s Walk: Early Bird Competition Terms & Conditions

To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is sign up for Men’s Walk before midnight on Wednesday 1 January 2025.

The voucher can be redeemed for 2 x North Terrace Standing Tickets for a Prem Cup Home Game in February 2025.
Tickets cannot be transferred or swapped for monetary gain. The tickets can be gifted to friends or family if you cannot attend the game.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promoter is Hospiscare whose registered name and office is: Hospiscare, Searle House, Dryden Road, Exeter, Devon EX2 5JJ. Registered Company in England and Wales: 2164215. Registered Charity No: 297798
  2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom who are over 18 years of age and taking part in Men’s Walk 2025.
  3. Employees of Hospiscare, Hospiscare (Shops) Limited and Hospiscare Lottery and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation are eligible to enter.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. Entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via hospiscare.co.uk/menswalk
  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person.
  7. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  8. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: sign up to Men’s Walk 2025 before midnight on 1 January 2025
  9. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
  10. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  11. The prizes available are as follows: A voucher for Exeter Chiefs tickets. The voucher can be redeemed for 2 x North Terrace Standing Tickets for a Prem Cup Home Game in February 2025
  12. The Promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize will be available or delivered.
  13. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  14. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  15. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  16. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.
  17. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  18. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social media network. You are providing your information to Hospiscare and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found by clicking here.
  19. The Promoter shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
  20. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  21. The Promoter also reserves the right to cancel the event if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  22. All participants will be put into a raffle on 6 January 2025 where 1 winner will be selected at random
