Our local charity is challenging you to take on a new adventure for the New Year to raise vital funds for local people living with a terminal illness.
Caring for over 2,000 patients every year, our charity relies on the fundraising efforts of our community to generate 82% of the money needed to provide specialist end-of-life care in the heart of Devon.
Hospiscare is offering a variety of challenge events in 2021 to test your daring whilst raising vital funds for our patients and their families.
If you’re looking for the challenge of a lifetime, join a group of Hospiscare heroes for a twelve-day trek in the Himalayas. This trekking challenge will test your endurance and reward you with panoramic views, as well as the experience of Nepalese food and culture. By taking part, you will be supporting palliative care both at home and abroad as this trip includes volunteering at a hospice in Kathmandu.
Hospiscare has worked closely with Different Travel, their third party travel company, to create a ‘COVID Promise’ which ensures participants are entitled to a full refund if the trip is cancelled due to COVID-19.
For those seeking an adrenaline-fuelled feat of daring, why not take to the skies for Hospiscare? Admire Devon from a view of 12,000 ft as you skydive to support end-of-life care. If you don’t fancy the free fall, strap yourself to a vintage biplane to take on our Wing Walk challenge! Both of these challenges will take place at Dunkeswell Airfield in Honiton on 2 May, 26 July and 18 September.

If you would rather keep your feet on the ground, join Team Hospiscare and take on Exeter’s only half marathon: The Great West Run. Put your stamina to the test on 23 May 2021 knowing that Team Hospsicare will be with you every step of the way. You’ll even receive your own Hospiscare Hero medal for completing this epic challenge.
