We’re excited to announce a brand new summer-themed fundraising event – The Hospiscare Summer Walk, taking place on Saturday 8 July.
Starting and ending at Darts Farm near Topsham, the seven-mile circular route along the Exe Estuary will be a celebration of all things summer, so be sure to dig out your coolest sun hats and shades.
Upon arrival at Darts Farm, everyone will be greeted with an award-winning gelato ice cream (we’ve taste tested and promise it’s delicious!). Along the route, walkers will be rewarded with a well-earned strawberries and cream picnic in Lympstone, and a summery glass of Pimms (or non-alcoholic alternative) at the Puffing Billy, before heading back to Darts Farm.
The walk will offer beautiful estuary views, entertainment and photo opportunities aplenty along the way. Suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, everyone is welcome, providing the perfect opportunity to organise a summer get-together with friends or family – even four-legged friends can join in the fun!

Fundraising events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing support and generosity we receive from the local community and the response so far has been fab. We’re hopeful the event will raise £45,000 to fund the hospice’s care for local people and their families affected by terminal illness.”
