Hospiscare Heroes – From 40 club celebrations to champion challengers

Our Hospiscare Heroes have been flexing their superpowers to support our charity in an incredible variety of ways

Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.

From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.

Firstly, we would like to thank all involved in the Hospiscare 40 Club awards held on the Thursday 14 March at Winslade Manor. The awards were a great success. The Hospiscare 40 Club is an initiative where businesses pledge to raise £1,000 for your local hospice charity over a 12-month period.

We’re pleased to share that £115,000 has been raised by our 40 Club members, ensuring we can continue to deliver end-of-life care for local people living with terminal illnesses.

If you’d like to support your local hospice by joining Hospiscare’s 40 Club in 2024, please find out more here.
Special thanks to our wonderful host, James Court, from Exeter Chamber, music from Concious Club and all at Winslade Manor for providing such a special venue and evening.

Next, we must highlight this incredible achievement from champion challenger Abbie!

Not content with completing a skydive for Hospiscare in 2022, this year, Hospiscare Hero Abbie took on the Bath Half and raced past the finish line, raising an incredible £508 in memory of her nan Sandra.

Thank you, Abbie – and congratulations! If you’d like to show your support and make a donation to Abbie’s effort you can find her JustGiving page here.

Thank you to all our Hospiscare Heroes on behalf of our staff, patients, and their loved ones.

We love hearing your stories about how you are fundraising for Hospiscare so please get in touch with us on Facebook or Twitter to share your photos and fundraising tales.
