Hospiscare Heroes – From cake creations to clinical scrubs

Our Hospiscare Heroes have been busy over the last couple of weeks, finding innovative ways to fund raise for our charity at this difficult time

Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their super powers this week.

Thank you to Julie Courtney-Rowland of Courtney’s Creative Cakes in Honiton for donating this amazing show-stopper of a cake – we think it’s definitely #GBBO worthy!

We are sending our thanks to Baker Estates who chose us as their Charity of the Year and are giving Hospiscare £100 for every house they sell on their development in Gittisham.

A special thank you to Bampton Young Farmers Club who drove their Massey Ferguson 135 from Tiverton Rugby Club in Devon to Newquay, Cornwall. Their tractor run raised an amazing £2,825 for our local charity! You can read more about Bampton YFC’s tractor run here.

Thank you to Gayle Charleton who organised a street sale on 19 September. Gayle and her neighbours raised an amazing £267.50! Thank you to everyone who bought items and supported the street sale in Honiton. The community feel was overwhelming and there are plans to put on another street sale in spring!

Thank you to Rhona and her team at Cafe Magdalen for donating the proceeds from all hot drinks sold in their first week of opening. They raised an amazing £218.70 for us!

We are sending our thanks to Palm Tree Vending who have joined forces with our charity to provide candy carousels to businesses across Devon with the proceeds going to Hospiscare.

Thank you also to Tozers Solicitors who are extending their Charity of the Year support into 2021 in light of the challenges that COVID-19 has presented to our charity.

Finally, thank you to Jeremy Bateson for holding a yard sale in Ottery and raising £35.55 in aid of Hospiscare.
