Hospiscare Heroes – From Easter endurance to racing rivals!

Our Hospiscare Heroes have been flexing their superpowers to support our charity in an incredible variety of ways

Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.

From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.

Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to Hospiscare Hero Cheryl Phillips who took on the Easter 50 Ultra Challenge 2024 on 6 April. The challenge involved a mighty 50km route around Windsor. Excluding the cost of her challenge, Cheryl has raised an amazing £942 for Hospiscare. We are so grateful for your hard work and support. This fundraising effort will help provide specialist services to those facing life-limiting illness. You can support Cheryl on her JustGiving page here.

Next, we would like to thank all the businesses involved in and taking part in the and Raceworld Karting and Hilton Ames Chauffeurs Devon Business League in aid of Hospiscare. The 8-month business league consists of 4 competitions with 30 businesses going head to head to take the crown, with money raised and donated to Hospiscare.

We must pay a particular thank you to Robbie and all of the team at Rev Comps who have gotten the ball rolling in the most spectacular way with over £6000 raised, followed by businesses Greendale Group and Hilton Ames. We can’t wait to see how all of the businesses fundraising develops with this impressive start!

We are so grateful to be supported by such a generous local business community. Thank you to all the businesses involved and taking part in this exciting event! If you are part of a business and would like to find out fundraising opportunities with Hospiscare you can find out more here.

Finally, we would like to thank the crafty and keen organisers and volunteers involved with The Mail Trail 2024.

This creative bunch are already busy creating these beautiful additions to this years campaign. The Mail Trail is a colourful and fun initiative created by a team of fundraising volunteers. Local crafters, knitters and crocheters decorate the postboxes in the Exmouth area, to create beautiful themed toppers of yarn to bring joy to local residents and raise money for our charity. From 24 May you can get involved and enjoy finding over 40 decorated post boxes across Exmouth.

If you would like to sponsor a postbox, donate or take part next month, you can find out more information here.

Thank you to all our Hospiscare Heroes on behalf of our staff, patients, and their loved ones.
