Thank you to Jenny Lane from Honiton who took part in the Virtual London Marathon for Hospiscare. Jenny is pictured above with our Clinical Nurse Specialist Angela Phillips after she raised an amazing £1026.20 for our local charity. Jenny says,
“I did it! I ran the 40th London Marathon! Considering I had only run eight miles in training I am super proud of myself.”
We are sending a huge thank you to Paul Siely and the whole team at Land Rover Experience Westcountry near Honiton for their fantastic hospitality last week.
Our fundraising and communications team had a very productive planning day in the excellent, COVID-secure facilities, inspired by the beautiful views of the east Devon countryside! Thank you Paul for supporting Hospiscare!
Thank you to the Honiton Support Group and to everyone who supported their table top sale on 13 October. This was their first fundraising event outdoors since lockdown. Please pop along to the Lace Walk in Honiton on 27 October between 9am-12pm for their next table top sale.
A belated thank you to MBS Exeter Ltd who held a Coffee Morning for us the week before we went into lockdown. They raised an incredible £120! Thank you to Alison, Peter and the team who baked some amazing cakes. Everyone involved really enjoyed the Coffee Morning.
Thank you to Christine Thompson and Wendy Chaffey of Honiton who continue to make hearts for the patients and families on our ward.
Finally, thank you to Janet Beardsall who has raised £500 so far from the proceeds of her fourth book of poetry Looking Back with Love. This brings the total raised by Janet’s books for Hospiscare to over £3900!
