Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.
From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.
We want to thank The Wyndham Singers male voice choir from Kentisbeare. They have a remarkable track record in singing for charity stretching back 20 years, having raised more than £130,000 for a wide range of local charities.
As a result of last year’s efforts, they raised an incredible £6,000 for Hospiscare. As well as this, in recognition of the difficulties faced in restarting their concert singing immediately post-COVID, they have voted to support Hospiscare for a further year. Thank you for your ongoing support!
We are also sending a big thank you to The Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface – The President – Liz Ledsham, has very kindly selected Hospiscare as one of her chosen charities for 2022/2023. They are hosting a Cider, Pasty & Proms event on 17 June 2023 to help raise funds for Hospiscare@Home.
We are sending a special thank you to everyone who responded to our recent appeal for memory hearts. We received so many donations of handmade hearts in beautiful colours and designs. These hearts will help our patients and families feel connected to their loved ones when they need it most. We cannot thank you enough for your creativity and kindness!
We also want to thank Homefayre in Tiverton. Instead of sending Christmas cards to each other last year, they collected the money they would have spent in a pot, raising £42 for Hospiscare!
Thank you to all our Hospiscare Heroes on behalf of our staff, patients, and their loved ones.
