Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our local charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon, ensuring we can be there for our patients and their families when they need us most.
From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their superpowers this week.
Firstly, the New Year is all about doing something new and the perfect opportunity to take on an exciting challenge! Hospiscare Hero Louisa wanted to do something extreme for an extremely important cause. Louisa rose to the challenge on Saturday and completed a skydive for Hospiscare. Excluding the cost of her skydive, Louisa has raised an incredible £410. This sum is enough to help fund three home visits from a Hospiscare Community Nurse Specialist. We are incredibly grateful to Louisa for choosing to make a difference and support Hospiscare.

Secondly, we would love to pay thanks to the team at the New Fountain Inn in Whimple for supporting Hospiscare, your very generous donations from New Years Eve raised a phenomenal £432.00, it is very much appreciated!
The kindness and the generosity of your staff and customers enables Hospiscare to continue to provide care to local families at a time when it is most needed.
It is great to see local businesses across our patch helping a local cause in the very places we provide our specialist care.
Finally, we would like to pay thanks to the team at Otter Vets who continue to go above and beyond raising money for Hospiscare. Both veterinary clinics in both Ottery St Mary and Sidmouth held Advent Calendar fundraising raffles throughout the festive season. They had daily prize giveaways building up to the big day. First prize of a bumper hamper with treats for customers and their precious pets. The Otter Vets clinics raised a fantastic £143.56 between them!
Thank you to the staff at both clinics and to the generosity of customers for donating to the fundraiser and buying raffle tickets. It all makes a difference. We are so grateful for the ongoing support!
