Our Hospiscare Heroes are truly super; week after week, they support our charity with their fundraising endeavours across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. From all of us at Hospiscare, we are sending a huge thank you to all of our Hospiscare Heroes. Read on to find out how they have been flexing their super powers this week.
Thank you to 10 year-old Roxy and her grandmother Julie for supporting Hospiscare by taking part in the wreath workshop held by Exeter Friends of Hospiscare and The British Academy of Floral Art. Roxy wants to be a florist when she grows up and her talent is clear in this beautiful creation.
Thank you to LiveWest for supporting us over the last year, most recently with their virtual Bake Off which saw many amazingly tasty entries, including the one above. Thank you for getting creative and supporting our local charity at the same time.
Thank you to 10- year-old Ellie who recently completed a challenge of 50 sit ups for 7 days and has raised an incredible £360! Ellie chose to support us earlier this month as a close family member is currently in our care. If you would like to support Ellie’s fundraising, click here.
Thank you to Alison Hayman who put in many hours to make a beautiful blanket during lockdown which she has donated to Hospiscare. We look forward to offering you the chance to win this unique homemade item at a future event – watch this space!
Thank you to Marilyn Selfridge who, very bravely, asked her husband to shave her head on 2 April to raise funds for Hospiscare in memory of her daughter, Storma. Marilyn has raised over £1,200 to date for our patients. Thank you Marilyn and family for your continuing support of Hospiscare.
Thank you to Honiton Support Group who continue to work hard to raise much-needed funds. The group’s last cake stall in Lace Walk, Honiton, was a great success.
Finally, thank you to Thrifty for their recent donation of £732.75.
